Getting to Dillon and Summit County from Denver International or Eagle-Vail Airports you can grab a door-to-door ride on Summit Express or Epic Mountain Express. Coming in from downtown Denver the RTD Bustang drops you at the neighboring town of Frisco.

Hitting the Trail
Summit County maintains approximately 45 miles of natural surface trails and 40 miles of dirt roads. Many trails are accessible for walkers, hikers and mountain bikes. For detailed trail information visit the Dillon Ranger District website before heading out.
Hop on the Summit Stage to reach the Salt Lick Trail (Wildernest Loop) or the Oro Grande Trailhead (Fire Station Stop on the Silverthorne-Dillon-Keystone Route). For a more leisurely stroll, or a bike ride, head to Lake Dillon to explore the paved Summit County Recreational Path which connects the Towns of Dillon and Silverthorne and provides easy access to restaurants and shops along the way.
If you are looking to explore the area by pedal power, all Summit Stage buses are equipped with bicycle racks from May through October.
Out and About Dillon
One of the most amazing natural attractions in the area is Dillon Lake. The Summit Shuttle water taxi is a great option for those looking to get out on the water. For an extra fee you can bring your bike onboard. Pick up the taxi at a scheduled stop to travel between Dillon and nearby Frisco or book it for a private charter. It’s a relaxing way to take in the incredible mountain views of surrounding mountain peaks such as Tenderfoot and Ptarmigan Peak. You can even try your hand at fishing in the lake or in the Blue River.
Looking for a more leisurely land-based experience, hop on the Summit Stage and head to Dillon Schoolhouse Museum or browse through shops or relax on a sunny deck on Main Street in Dillon. Visiting on a Friday from June through early September – enjoy fresh produce and other handmade treats at the best Farmers Market in Summit County.
After a day exploring the area, head out for the evening to an area restaurant or local craft brewery or catch a show at the Dillon Amphitheater during the summer or in winter enjoy a drink and one of the most beautiful vistas in Summit County under a heat lamp at the Vue Restaurant located in the new Homewood Suites.
