Small Town. Big Fun. 

The Town of Dillon, Colorado is a small mountain community that is big on fun. Located in the heart of Summit County along the shores of the beautiful Dillon Reservoir (commonly referred to as Lake Dillon) Dillon is home to multiple breathtaking outdoor amenities. The town is known for the having North America' highest deep water Marina, the Dillon Amphitheater, as well as the best Farmers Market in Summit County. 

Dillon is also home to the Summit Historical Society's Schoolhouse Museum and several community parks including, Best of Summit County winner, Marina Park. Tilta-whirls, slides, climbing walls and plenty of picnic space are all part of the fun. The Dillon Pavilion and Town Park are great, outdoor spaces available to rent for weddings or other group get-togethers.

It’s a great place to spend the day whether you’re soaking in the local history, hiking, biking around Lake Dillon, or having fun out on the water. Locals and visitors can enjoy a range of outside activities, entertainment, and adventure in this historic Colorado mountain town.

When wrapped in a pristine blanket of white, Dillon offers access to a world-class winter playground with all the comfort and charm of a small mountain town. We’re just minutes away from the ski slopes of Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper Mountain and Arapahoe Basin, and just a short drive away from Vail/Beaver Creek. There’s also plenty of outdoor winter fun right here.

Enjoy skating, sleigh rides, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, snow kiteboarding or ice fishing. Relax with a quiet stroll through downtown Dillon’s winter wonderland, especially in December, amid the sparkle and glow of thousands of holiday lights.

Sitting on the shores of Lake Dillon, the town offers awe-inspiring views of the Gore and Ten Mile Mountain ranges and is only a one hour and fifteen-minute drive to downtown Denver and one and a half hours from the Denver International Airport.

Along with the ample outdoor options, Dillon, CO also has Skyline Cinema and Elevation Bowl nearby. Magical and not so magical first dates and multi-generational families can enjoy a night out at the movies or on the lanes. Regardless of the event or venue, you’re bound to enjoy your evening out in Dillon.

During the summer, make sure not to miss the famed Dillon Farmers Market. Relax, take a stroll and check out the freshest Colorado produce around, artisanal foods, handmade crafts, jewelry and hundreds of vendors that come out to show off their goods. An expanded area with free kids activities, weekly Yoga in the Park and live music are just part of the fun. Make sure to stroll down to the Dillon Marina while you’re out and embrace the beauty of the reservoir and the tranquility of the sailboats or get out on the water with a sailboat tour, boat, Kayak or SUP rental.

Dillon is known for its many eateries and micro-breweries. From gourmet holes in the wall such as Café Profusion to street tacos at Tacos Tequilas to steakhouse breweries and wood-fired pizza, Dillon is a gastronomic delight that reveals in authentic fare and perhaps the best part is you can top it all off with award-winning craft beer from the Dillon Dam Brewery or Pug Ryan's before heading over to the regular free concerts at Dillon’s Amphitheater. From Bluegrass to Jam Bands, Blues & R&B, Dillon’s music line-up is as hot as the sunsets at the Dillon Amphitheater.

You don’t have to be an exercise junkie to appreciate Dillon’s many parks or to take a nice walk on one of the many nearby hiking trails. Each one of Dillon’s trails is unique and frequented by bikers, runners or simply walkers looking to take in the scenery. Grab a group of friends and test out your disc golf skills at the Dillon Disc Golf Course. No matter what your niche, the Town of Dillon is a great Colorado mountain town to explore.
