Krystal 93 Festival in the Park

Krystal 93 Festival in the Park

  • Date: -
  • Location: Downtown Dillon
    Colorado
The Rotary Club of Summit County is thrilled to announce they are bringing a new event to the high country. Replacing the former BBQ at the Summit, the Rotary|Krystal 93 Festival in the Park will be an expanded version with more food, more music and more kid’s entertainment. “We wanted to add to an already successful event,” said Rotary representative Betty Naftz. “We will most certainly still have barbeque but now we will have cuisine from around the world. And not only that, the kids zone is going to be something Summit County has never seen before with fun for both the kids and the adults,” she continued.
Taking place on August 8th and 9th from noon to nine each day the Rotary|Krystal 93 Festival in the Park will be just that, located in Dillon’s Town Park. Many of the vendors from years past such as the always popular Golden Toad, Rat’s Woodshack and Lost Weekend will be back, but new vendors such as Nicky’s Quickies and a handful of Denver food trucks will also be present. “First year events are always unique but we are confident that the Rotary has put together something that will be well received by the public,” said Mayor Kevin Burns.
The live music for the Summit Rotary|Krystal 93 Festival in the Park features a mix of local, regional and national touring performers. This year’s line-up also features some of the most talented female musicians to ever grace the stage in Summit County. On Friday the 8th, Breckenridge’s Faith Crawford teams up with her partner Kevin Danzig for a set that afternoon at about 2pm. By 4pm Boulder’s Cassie Taylor, daughter of Blues musician Otis Taylor, takes the stage with her band. Then at 7pm, Carolyn Wonderland joins us all the way from Austin, Texas and hits the stage with a blend of rock, blues and country. Saturday afternoon, Samantha Fish, from Kansas City, entertains the crowd around 4pm with some rockin’ blues. Check festivalinthepark.net for the complete line-up, that also features Michael Jay Hogan, Todd Johnson, the Ash Ganley Trio and wrapping up the festival on Saturday night will, Freefallin’ – the premier Tom Petty tribute band, that hails from Minnesota.
