From the Helm-October 2017
We just completed big boat Crane Day a few weeks ago, on Wednesday, October 11th. It is a bitter sweet day for sure, as it is a big sign that the high country boating season is coming to an end. A-Basin Ski Resort opened for the 2017-2018 ski season two days later on Friday, October 13th. Wow!! We all hope that you had a great boating season here at Dillon Marina.
Thank you to everyone who either pulled their vessel out of the water or submitted a work order for the marina staff to do so by the deadline of October 22, 2017. This allows us time to complete all the work orders and position all the docks for winter storage. We will continue to work on replacing the wooden decking with concrete, rub rail, and anchor cables and repositioning of dock anchors for the 2018 season.
Reservoir levels are great and we are looking pretty good for the upcoming future. The current level is 9013.8' or -3.2' below full. This level is a great level for the launch ramp and boat haul out. Reservoir Levels
A Dock replacement is still not a done deal at this time. Stay tuned for the November Marina Buzz for further news. All A Dock slip holders should remove all personal items at this time.
Day boating will be available until November 3rd, weather and water dependent, which means that you are able to launch and retrieve on the same day but no overnight slips will be available.
Keep an eye out for the Fall 2017 Guest Survey, which will be sent out to you in late November or early December. We greatly appreciate your participation in these surveys. Without your feedback, we will not know how you are feeling about our work performance and your overall satisfaction at the marina.
Thanks to all of the staff for all of their hard work. The marina really came together this season. I would also like to thank everyone here at the Town of Dillon and the Dillon Marina for making my first season back at Dillon a great one.
